Turnagain Tour and Snow Machine Riding
The Turnagain Arm always offers a beautiful day of touring, no matter what time of year. With the shorter daylight we can fit in just a couple of great experiences so we have chosen a visit to the Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center and a Snow Machine Tour into the wilderness.
The drive alone is breath taking! From Anchorage, we'll travel along the scenic Seward Highway, one of only 13 highways in the US with the distinction of "All American Road". Along the way we will have great opportunities to view and photograph scenic vistas. We visit the Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center, a rescue and research facility, and get an up close look at all of the land animals that call South Central Alaska their home. With the exception of hibernating bears, the animals are all visible from an easy walk or van ride through the facility.
From the AWCC we will head back to Girdwood where we will meet up with our snow machine guides. With you at the controls, snowmobile on beautifully groomed trails at a private gold mining operation. You will be surrounded by 7000 ft. Glaciated peaks in the Chugach Mountains. Many Hollywood film productions have been shot here because of the awesome Alaskan scenery. Your tour will stop at key places for incredible photo opportunities.
Beginners on up to experts will find these trails a lot of fun. This tour includes a traditional campfire lunch with reindeer hot dogs snacks and hot beverages. All inclusive
