Take an optional scenic tram to the top of Mt Alyeska for lunch with a view. Next stop Portage, where you will board the mv Ptarmigan for an optional one-hour cruise across the stunning scenery of iceberg-dotted Portage Lake. Customer Testimonials

As I reflect on the day we spent with Steve Busby I can not believe he could show and tell us so much in one day. This man is phenomenal. First we learned some of the history of Alaska which helped provide a context for the rest of the day. He showed us about life in Alaska, animals and their habitats, local attractions such as a cruise on Portage Lake as we got up close to a glacier, a tram ride for breath taking views from the mountain top at Alyeska Ski Resort and the Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center. He was always on the alert for animal sightings and great photo opportunities. He did all of this in such a relaxed respectful manner. I would recommend Steve very highly to anyone wanting an amazing experience in Anchorage.
From August 1-15 20 people took a two week trip to Alaska. One week cruise and 1 week on land with princess cruises. On August 15 we had the entire day before we departed Alaska at 8pm. We deceided to book Great Land Adventures to maximize our last day in Alaska. We were all picked up approximately 9am at the Captim Hook Hotel by ownerSteve Busby and one of his additional tour guides. He brought two vans and a hitch for all our luggage. We toured all of Anchorage and the surrounding area. Was at an animal preserve , had lunch on top of a mountain , and took in many additional sites to list. Both were very informative, friendly and quite enjoyable. At the end of our day he got us all safely to the airport and on time for our flights. Home. Steve Busby does many types of tours. Hiking, fishing, rafting, and site seeing to name a few. I would not hesitate hiring Great Land Adventures. You won't be disappointed. Hurry up and book and enjoy your trip to Alaska.
Our expert guide and company owner Steve is highly knowledgeable, friendly and professional all the way. Steve picked us up right at our hotel and took the reigns for over 8 hours. We felt we had a thorough and insider experience under Steve's guidance. We traveled along Turnagain Arm, took the Portage Glacier Tour, went to the Conservation Center and more. Steve really knows how to navigate the day while still accommodating his client's wishes. A wonderful trip! I cannot recommend Greenland Adventures highly enough!
My wife and I had a private tour with Steve on the first day of 2017. We joined the Turnagain Arm and Portage Valley Tour which covered almost all must-see attractions in the area. While our arrival time was 5am in the morning of a public holiday, I was glad that Steve could arrange the tour very well.We had visited many attractions and got breakfast and lunch without any problem. Steve is a knowledgeable, fun, and helpful tour guide. As he knew that we would fly to Fairbanks to see Aurora, he gave us several tips in watching Aurora and taking photos with Aurora. He also drove us to some open area and we were able to see Aurora in Anchorage! Every scene in the tour was beautiful. We will definitely find Steve again if we visit Anchorage in the future.
