    • Are reservations required?
      Reservations are required at least 24 hours in advance.
    • How can we modify our reservation?
      In order to change a reservation, please contact our office staff at 907-980-8179 or email request to info@greatlandadventures.com.
    • Do you have group rates?
      Group rates are available on certain tours. For more information, please contact our office staff at 907-980-8179 or email info@greatlandadventures.com.
    • Do you offer private tours?

    • Do I need to sign a waiver?
      We have a virtual waiver to complete attached to your booking confirmation.
    • Do you offer any discounts?
      We are pleased to offer military discounts of 10% per person with photo ID.
    • Do you offer gift cards?

    • Do you offer hotel pick-up and drop off?
      We include Anchorage Hotel pick-up on all tours that we operate.
    • How do I write a review?

    • What is your tipping policy?
      Tips are not required, but greatly appreciated! Generally our guests tip 20% of the tour cost.
    • What is your weather policy?
      All tours are rain or shine except for Northern Lights. However high winds may affect Boat Tours, Kayaking, and Flight Tours. Please see the different seasons for each activity.
    • What is your most popular tour?
      We highly recommend all our tours! Our most popular tours are the Matanuska Glacier Summer Tour, Matanuska Glacier Winter Tour, Anchorage Northern Lights Tour, Anchorage Dog Sledding Tour, and Private Anchorage Sightseeing Tour.
    • What is a good option for families?
      Family Friendly Tours include Turnagain Arm Summer Tour, Private Anchorage Sightseeing Tour, Anchorage Dog Sledding Tour, and more!

Anchorage Northern Lights Tour

    • How long do we spend at our Northern Lights viewing location?
      Most nights we spend approximately 3 hours at a location. Although, some nights our strategy determines we must drive longer distances to find clear skies. Therefore, we sometimes end up spending less time at a single location.
    • How long do the Northern Lights last?
      Northern Lights displays may last anywhere from a few seconds to a few minutes to multiple hours.
    • What are the months you can book a Northern Lights tour?
      Northern Lights viewing is possible mid-August through mid-April.

  • What do I need to wear?
    We provide the necessary equipment for all tours. Please come prepared with the necessary layers and adequate footwear.
